Ready to play a pivotal role as COO in the advancement of quantum technology? Right now, we're partnering with a groundbreaking scale-up which is already a world leader in Quantum Dot technology.

This company is at the forefront of integrating QD technology into a wide array of existing and new products.

As Chief Operating Officer, you'll join a dynamic team in Groningen. This position is a critical role, as the company is currently transitioning from an R&D entity to a fully-fledged production and commercial operation. You'll collaborate closely with the team to manufacture high-quality quantum dots, ensuring product excellence and spearheading operational initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

·      Lead project management within R&D projects

·      Oversee the operations as a key Quantum Dot material supplier

·      Maintain and enhance partnerships within the industry

·      Industrialize the R&D set-up

·      Drive continuous process and procedural improvements

·      Obtain and uphold quality certifications (like ISO)

·      Develop and manage a purchasing framework and Implement ERP systems

Qualifications:

·      Entrepreneurial spirit, ideally with start-up/scale-up experience

·      Excellent leadership and strategy skills for both operations and the business

·      Strong communicator, capable of engaging with diverse teams; proficiency in English required, Dutch is a pre

·      Educational background in business/operations management

·      Experienced in operational leadership (like production, supply chain, procurement, project and QA), ideally within a materials or chemistry environment

·      Experience in high-tech manufacturing and ERP system management
