Senior / Lead Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Lead Engineer to lead and manage electrical engineering teams for detailed engineering projects in the offshore wind and battery storage sectors. Based in the Rotterdam area, this role focuses on delivering high-quality designs while ensuring compliance with international standards. Relocation profiles are welcome, and visa sponsorship is available.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of electrical engineers and designers in detailed engineering projects.
• Prepare and review specifications, technical bid evaluations (TBE), and perform Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) for LV systems (e.g., MCC, switchgear, UPS, LV distribution boards).
• Conduct and oversee electrical system studies and deliverables, including:
• Cable lists, block diagrams, layouts, termination diagrams, and installation/mounting details.
• Work on greenfield LV Power Distribution designs.
• Ensure compliance with standards (IEC, ANSI, IEEE, ISO, NFPA, NEMA, API).
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on offshore wind and battery storage projects.

Requirements:

• BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an engineering company and 4 years in a similar lead role.
• Expertise in greenfield LV Power Distribution, system studies, and LV systems (e.g., switchgear, UPS, distribution boards).
• Proficiency in preparing detailed design deliverables.
• Strong knowledge of international standards.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with offshore platform design, HV substations, and MV/HV systems.
• Familiarity with tools like ETAP, E3D, and Smart Plant Instrumentation.
