Senior/Principal Physics Engineer

Unity Partners, exclusively on behalf of our client, is looking for a driven and innovative Senior Product Development Engineer. Our client is at the forefront of developing cutting-edge transducers and electromechanical solutions for hearing instruments, in-ear earphones, and hearables. This role is ideal for someone with a pioneering mindset and a hunger to grow in an environment that values innovation and technical excellence.

As a Senior Product Development Engineer, you will take the lead in developing breakthrough technologies from concept to production. You will work on a variety of projects, guiding technology development while supporting other initiatives within the organization. With a strong foundation in physics, electrical engineering, and mechanical design, you will apply simulation models, theoretical analyses, and hands-on prototyping to bring innovative concepts to life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Generate, evaluate, and refine multiple product concepts using theoretical models, simulations, and prototype testing.
• Lead the development of specific technology blocks, working independently and guiding project teams.
• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to drive innovation and ensure seamless integration of technical solutions.
• Conduct research and benchmark competing technologies, with a focus on acoustics and loudspeaker design.
• Contribute to and support a wide variety of multidisciplinary projects, ensuring high standards of quality and technical excellence.
• Effectively communicate complex technical ideas across teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment and progress.

Qualifications:

• M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5-7 years of experience in R&D, with a focus on product development and design for manufacture.
• Proven expertise in acoustics and/or loudspeaker design (hard criteria).
• Hands-on experience with simulation models and tools such as Python or MATLAB.
• Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently and proactively.
• Excellent communication skills, with a passion for teamwork and collaboration.
• A pioneering and solution-oriented mindset, with a drive for continuous growth and learning.
