Partner of Unity Partners

Senior Simulation Engineer

Job description

Unity Partners, exclusively on behalf of our client, is looking for a highly skilled Senior Simulation Engineer to join an innovative team in the hearing aid and pro-audio industries. Our client is focused on delivering cutting-edge products through advanced simulation and modeling techniques, and we are seeking an expert who can drive this process from concept to production across multiple projects.

As a Senior Simulation Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and validating advanced 3D computational models to predict and optimize product performance. You will work on a variety of projects, applying expertise in modeling techniques like FEM and PSpice, with a focus on multiphysics simulations (acoustics, electromagnetism, mechanical engineering). While some projects may take weeks, others may span months, giving you the opportunity to contribute to multiple industry applications, including audio and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and validation of computational 3D models for product design and performance prediction.
  • Apply expertise in multiphysics modeling (acoustics, electromagnetism, mechanical engineering) to optimize product designs.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, risk analyses, and simulations to ensure technical precision.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to integrate technical specifications into design and production processes.
  • Work on multiple projects concurrently, managing both short-term (2-3 weeks) and long-term assignments.
  • Balance workload: 20 hours on customer-related projects, 20 hours on internal innovation projects.
  • Engage in personal development plans to enhance both hard skills (technical) and soft skills (teamwork, communication).

Qualifications:

  • Master’s or PhD in Engineering (acoustics, electromagnetics, mechanical engineering, or related field).
  • 4-9 years of experience in multiphysics modeling, with expertise in FEM-based software (e.g., COMSOL, ANSYS) and SPICE simulators (e.g., PSpice).
  • Familiarity with a range of industries, including audio, with a solid foundation in modeling techniques.
  • Proven ability to manage and lead projects with minimal client interaction, focusing on technical excellence.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills, with a collaborative, team-player attitude.

Development and Growth:In the first 6-12 months, you will follow a structured development plan, focusing on technical skills and personal growth. This includes mastering specific modeling techniques, learning advanced tools, and fostering soft skills like communication and teamwork. You’ll start with one project and gradually take on multiple assignments, ensuring steady growth and skill enhancement.
